Brain Food – it’s a common phrase, but what does it really mean? Are there foods out there that can help you maintain your “brain power”? The answer is yes! Check out our take on Brain Food and cook up some recipes to get your mental juices flowing.

Did you know that your brain consumes 20 percent of your daily caloric intake? Your brain’s energy is obtained from the glucose in recently eaten carbohydrates from fruits, vegetables and grains. But you’ve got to maintain balance. High glucose levels (think too much soda) slowly damage cells throughout the body – including the brain, while the “good” kinds of fat – omega-3 fatty acids – can improve intellectual performance.

With the right diet, you can increase concentration, motivation, memory, reaction time, and even prevent brain aging.
